About WA-IRO

Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 amβ4 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. Its website is instagram.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from 79 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian bakery in Pasadena and suggests consistent service.
Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Pasadena follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place has rose to top of my favorite restaurants to visit in LA! Best bakery I've visited since coming back from Japan, their Salt bread is so decadant, but I recently tried their burger (fri-sat only!) And I have to say I'm not hyperbolizing when I say best burger I've had in la. They make their buns in house, and the potatoes were utter perfection. Ease visit! You will not be disappointed with the most kind staff & hospitality.

The crispiest top layer but softest salt bread Iβve ever eaten! Such a cute and soft lighted interior! Iβm no baking expert but the flour they use is something special! I have to go back and try all their other goods!!

This is a great Japanese bakery in Pasadena. There are so many options and the bread is soft and delicious..I enjoyed the tomato basil and the mentaiko bread. The yakisoba panini was ok. But friends really liked the fish panini and matcha breads. The awesome thing is they have many delicious breads and variety, the downside is that they often run out of items, but with that happening they have fresh new items come out. So in that sense it's a pro and con that they run out but have new items. There is no rhyme or reason or timing to those varieties. The staff was nice and attentive. The atmosphere is lively and busy. It's very packed and long lines. But it moves fairly quickly.

Would have given 5 stars without the 40 minutes wait LOL. And I am talking about the line being up to Blick Art onlyβ, as I have seen some people seeing line up to the street corner. Their servers delivered top-notch service though. Warm welcome and very helpful even they didnβt seem fluent enough in English, which was so appreciated. Decent despite not many sit-down spaces to dine indoor. We got their Takoyaki, Curry Pan, Japanini, and Anpan/red bean salt bread. The takoyaki was literally the octopus ball in soft fluffy bread with the sauce itself being so flavorful. The curry pan had generous filling and rich seasoning; bit greasy for my liking but expected as itβs indeed fried one. Love the Japanini with chunks of bacon and abundant melted cheese; so tasty especially when served warm. My top pick though was the sweet one - red bean. Their salt bread being so moist with nice milky touch was certainly the key, but the twist of sweet red bean paste with salty bread top created stellar duo.

I came here Mon 8:08am and there were only a few people in front of me. Around 8:30am, it got bustling and no available seats. Come early if you can to grab some of these pastries! Pastry 3.5/5. My fav was salt and butter. Smooth, soft, yet crispy at the bottom. I love red bean so def the filling one was great. Curry was my next fav. Something savory, good flavor. Wish it had more chunkiness of food. Melon was not my fav. I recently came back from japan and their convenient store melon pan was better. The sugary part on top is too hard. As i bite down it cracks. Wish it was more crusty hard, not hardened sugar texture. Inside the bread was not fluffy white bread but hard packed dry white bread. Matcha melon was better but still it was disappointing compared to the japanese convenient store melon pan i had (i traveled to osaka and kyoto, so maybe different style at hokkaido??). Overall I really wanted to love these pastries, but not worth $4.45ish~ per item price. Original Matcha Latte iced 3/5. I got it half sweetened. The color looks great, but it tastes blend and watery. My fav matcha is rok in k-town because it reminds me of the ice matcha i had in kyoto. Strong matcha, slight
